Mindful Eating Matters

26 Jan 2026

Mindful eating means paying full attention to the experience of eating—the flavors, textures, and aromas—without TV, phones, or computers. It takes about 20 minutes for your brain to receive "full" signals from your stomach. Eating slowly and deliberately allows you to recognize satiety cues, often leading to eating less. It also improves digestion (starting in the mouth with proper chewing) and increases meal satisfaction, helping you make more conscious, healthier food choices.
